Certification Process

Step 1: Choose a Scrum Alliance-Approved CSM Course Find a course offered by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). Courses are available worldwide, in-person and online.
Step 2: Attend the CSM Training: Participate in a two-day (16-hour) training session, covering the basics of Scrum and preparing for the certification exam.
Step 3: Pass the CSM Exam: After completing the course, you will receive a link to take the online CSM exam.
The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, typically around 50 questions.
You need to score at least 74% (usually 37 out of 50) to pass.
Step 4: Accept the Scrum Alliance License Agreement: After passing the exam, you must accept the license agreement to become a Certified ScrumMaster.
Step 5: Maintain Your Certification: The CSM certification is valid for two years. To renew, you need to pay a renewal fee and earn Scrum Education Units (SEUs) through continued learning and participation in Scrum activities.
